Conard High Girls Basketball Team Hosts Clinic for West Hartford Magic

The following is a press release

Members of the Conard High girls basketball team ran a mini-clinic for the West Hartford Magic fifth-grade travel team on Monday, Dec. 16.

The 12 players from the Magic were put through layup and ball handling drills with the assistance of the Conard student-athletes and first-year head coach Colleen Duggan.

The evening culminated with an inter-squad scrimmage where the Conard student-athletes acted as peer coaches for the 5th graders.     

Next month, the Hall and Conard girls basketball teams will also conduct a Youth Clinic for coaches and players of the West Hartford Girls Basketball League.  The event will be held at Conard from 1 - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.
