This Is CT’s ‘Best Place To Live,’ See Homes For Sale There

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford is among the Best Places To Live In America for 2018, according to Money magazine’s latest listings that were released this past week. The new rankings, released in partnership with realtor.com, were compiled by looking at more than 135,000 data points including economic health, cost of living, diversity, public education, crime and income, according to Money. Reporters also researched each community, interviewed residents and checked out neighborhoods to help come up with the top 50 best places to live in the country.

The study included only towns with populations of 50,000 or more, but excluded communities with more than double the national crime risk, less than 85 percent of their state's median household income or lack of diversity. That left Money with 583 cities, and West Hartford was the only town to make the list at No. 48.

Money said West Hartford benefits from Hartford's close proximity, but offers much of its own.

"...the northern Connecticut town of just over 64,000 people is more than just a quiet suburb. West Hartford's own attractions include a bustling downtown shopping district, restaurants and bars, hiking trails, and the majority of the 101-acre Elizabeth Park, known locally for its rose gardens."
