Ducklings Rescued From Storm Drain In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, — West Hartford responders saved a family of ducklings that had become trapped in a storm drain Tuesday afternoon.

In all, a dozen babies were saved, fire officials said. The incident took place on School House Drive, which borders Beachland Park, fire officials said.

West Hartford firefighters and the West Hartford Animal Control Department teamed up to rescue the ducklings.

They were reunited with their mother, who was waiting nearby, fire officials said.

None of the 12 ducks was injured, fire officials said.
