Food Tasting Event In West Hartford Postponed
A severe thunderstorm is anticipated Wednesday, prompting organizers to change the date of the event.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A forecast of threatening weather has prompted organizers of the fourth annual Taste of Blue Back Square to postpone the event a day. Originally slated for Wednesday, July 31, it will now take place Thursday, Aug. 1.
"Blue Back Square and its ‘Taste’ partners decided to move the event out of an abundance of caution, due to severe thunderstorms that appear likely on Wednesday," said Blue Back Square Marketing Director Amy Cholawa.
This year’s event will offer a sampling of delicious food from Blue Back Square restaurants, including Bar Louie, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, Vinted Wine Bar & Kitchen, Rizzuto’s Restaurant, World of Beer and The Cheesecake Factory.

A drawing to win special prizes will also take place, with proceeds benefiting the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
