Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Hartford/Tolland County

The National Weather Service has issued advisories for northern parts of the state. Here are the new details.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Hartford and Tolland County as the heat index approaches 100 degrees on Monday.

A heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday for northern Connecticut as the heat index may reach 97 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur," the weather service said.

It looks like we're in the 90s through Wednesday and then there is a bit of a cooldown on Thursday. There is also a chance for storms on Tuesday too.
