Mexican Restaurant Chain Resumes Expansion Plans In Connecticut
A Mexican restaurant chain has resumed its expansion plans in Connecticut with the opening of a West Hartford location.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The Salsa Fresca Mexican Grill, restaurant chain has resumed expansion plans in Connecticut with the opening of its West Hartford location and a pair of projects in Fairfield County to follow.
The West Hartford restaurant, located at 345 North Main St., opened Dec. 1 and is Salsa Fresca's 11th location.
"Throughout this year's pandemic emergency, we have continued to offer our customers a heightened level of safety and cleanliness, and continued providing our customers with the always-fresh food they have come to know and love," said Marc Miles, co-owner of Salsa Fresca. "We are proud to ensure the safety of our staff and customers, and as the good news of a potential vaccine makes headlines, we are very pleased to continue our expansion plan to bring Salsa Fresca to new communities."

An "ongoing commitment to cleanliness" and a healthy and hygienic environment for staff and customers has always been part of Salsa Fresca’s strategy, a plan which has worked well for the regional chain, Miles said. So was, an ordering strategy, he said.
"We were prepared for the unexpected," he said. "Before the pandemic, we had already built a foundation for online ordering and apps, and have always been especially proud of our popular open kitchen concept, which allows customers to see first-hand the fresh ingredients being used. Other strategies, which have always made Salsa Fresca stand out among other regional chains, include a strong commitment to eco-friendly practices in every restaurant, including recycling cooking oil into bio-diesel, using humanely-raised beef and all-natural chicken, and working towards a goal of being a fully zero-waste restaurant."

In addition, Salsa Fresca has long established partnerships with third-party delivery networks, including Uber Eats, Grub Hub and Door Dash.
"Our loyal customer base continued to take advantage of no-contact delivery and curbside pickup, and we are very grateful that our communities have continued to stand by us throughout what has been a very difficult year for the entire industry," said Miles.
Salsa Fresca's expansion plan was temporarily delayed due to the pandemic, but has resumed with the West Hartford location, soon to be followed by additional new locations in Fairfield and Westport.
The chain's newest location will, as with all of their locations, continue to adhere to "eco-friendly policies, open kitchen concept and always-fresh, never-frozen menu items, while continuing to double down on cleanliness and safety measures which go beyond all local, state and federal guidelines."
The new West Hartford location is the first site opened by a franchisee.
"The store marks the beginning of a new era for Salsa Fresca and an opportunity for other experienced operators to get on board with this exciting, dynamic and growing brand," Miles said.
The West Hartford restaurant is in the Bishops Corner shopping area. The location features outdoor seating and "appropriately-spaced" indoor tables.
