New Details, Timeline For Tuesday's Snow Chance: CT Weather
Here are the new details concerning a chance for snow in Connecticut on Tuesday evening.
CONNECTICUT — It looks like a storm will stay largely offshore Tuesday, which means that only areas of Southern Connecticut, especially near the coast, may see some minor snow accumulation late Tuesday, early Wednesday.
This really isn't forecast to be a big deal. The "most snow" will fall in southeastern Connecticut and only an inch is forecast there. Other areas in Southern Connecticut are expected to receive less than an inch and Northern Connecticut may just see light snowflakes but no accumulation.
The National Weather Service says, "Low pressure moves towards the region Tuesday evening. Precipitation will likely develop with mostly light snow near the coast. There is a lower chance for light snow for locations north and west of New York City. Snowfall accumulation will be light with around an inch across Eastern Long Island and Southeast Connecticut to about a half inch near New York City. Elsewhere little to no accumulation is forecast. The low moves away from the region early Wednesday morning. A breezy Wednesday is in store with temperatures near normal. A few snow showers cannot be ruled out."

Super close call tomorrow evening with an offshore storm. Right now we expect a period of accumulating snow in SE CT tomorrow evening/night but can't rule it out farther NW. Stay tuned! #nbcct pic.twitter.com/KMG0OeygV3
