New England Urgent Care Holds First Holiday Toy, Coat Drive

WEST HARTFORD, CT — New England Urgent Care is now accepting new, unwrapped toys and new or gently used and clean coats for its first annual holiday toy and coat drive. The drive will run until Dec. 21 at all four of its locations: Bristol, Enfield, Manchester and West Hartford.

“Each year New England Urgent Care participates in events to support our community," New England Urgent Care Marketing CoordinatorLuciane Mastrangeli said in a release. "There is no better way to get into the holiday spirit than helping those in need."

The collected items will be brought to two area nonprofits — the Bridget Family Center and Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC) — who will then distribute them to families in Manchester, West Hartford and their surrounding towns for the holidays.

New England Urgent Care is Hartford County’s first Emergency Medicine-trained and Certified Urgent Care Practice with multiple locations. New England Urgent Care is always staffed with ER-experienced Provider and RN teams offering exceptional care.

All locations are equipped with x-rays, blood lab, EKG, respiratory and pharmacy to treat patients for a broader range of illnesses and injuries than non-Certified walk-ins. New England Urgent Care performs physical exams for camp, school, sport, and work, as well as offer comprehensive occupational health services.

New England Urgent Care was co-founded in 2011 by Dr. Michael Gutman and his wife Yahel. Both have extensive emergency medicine training and have worked in hospital Emergency Departments.
