Northwest Catholic Girls Tennis Ends Regular Season with Perfect Record
The West Hartford team also won the CCC West title.
The Northwest Catholic girls tennis team ended the 2013 season with a perfect 16-0 record, clinching the CCC West title with a 5-2 victory over Newington on May 21.
The team was led by the excellent play of Anna Case '15, Angela Miguel '15 and the doubles team of Magda Lenczewski '13 and Gabriella Giannone '15.
The NWC girls earned a no. 1 seed in the Class "S" state tournament, and faced Seymour in first round action Tuesday at home at the University of Saint Joseph. The team extended its winning streak with a 7-0 victory, and will take on Valley Regional on Wednesday, May 29 at 3 p.m. at home.
