Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford is pleased to announce that Margaret Price, a senior from Glastonbury, has been awarded First Place in the National Faith and Blue Weekend Essay Contest.

Both the Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair, Archbishop of Hartford, and Reverend Michael J. Dolan, Interim President of Northwest Catholic, penned the congratulatory letter to Ms. Price, stating, “Your fine work addressed the present-day challenges of Law Enforcement in light of the social justice teachings of the Church. We are happy to see the evident strong formation you have received as a student at Northwest Catholic High School, not only in religion but in language arts as well.”

The National Faith and Blue Weekend, which was celebrated at more than 1,000 locations across the country between October 10-12, is an initiative to strengthen connections between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve.
