Oct 12: Roads to be Impacted by Eversource Hartford Marathon

The Hartford Marathon Foundation will produce the Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday, October 12, in the communities of Hartford, East Hartford, West Hartford and South Windsor. With approximately 10,000 athletes expected to participate in the marathon, half marathon, Team 26.2 Relay and Charity 5K events, please be aware of traffic impact and road closures affecting the area from 7:30 am until 10:30 am.

Click the “Schedule/Road Closures” button on www.hartfordmarathon.com for detailed maps, traffic alerts and information. Roads will reopen as runners pass. When possible, police will direct cross traffic during the race.

In West Hartford, the following will be closed to traffic (expect adjacent streets to be impacted):

Parkville Area 7:30 AM -9:00 AM

Whiting School Area 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM

• Park Road
• Whiting Lane
• South Quaker Lane
• South Highland
• Boulevard

Morley School Area 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM

• North Quaker Lane
• Fern Street
• Troutbrook Drive (Northbound lanes)

Albany Ave. between Steele Road and Troutbrook (Eastbound lanes) 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Elizabeth Park Area 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM

The Hartford Marathon Foundation makes every effort to minimize the impact of the race on local roads and neighborhoods while bringing participants in to enjoy the community.
