Outdoor Dining In West Hartford To Get More Colorful
A campaign to give dining barriers a little more color is on tap for West Hartford.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Art League, in partnership with the town of West Hartford and the West Hartford Arts Commission, is seeking your help to fund a project that will commission artists to create and paint "murals" on concrete barriers used to expand restaurants' outdoor dining.
Project organizers are calling on the community to join the initiative by donating to a crowdfunding campaign or volunteering in the effort.
If the campaign reaches its goal of raising $5,500 by its fundraising deadline of May 17, the money will be matched by $5,500 from Sustainable CT’s Community Match Fund, which is an innovative funding resource for public, community-led sustainability projects.

Local artists are being commissioned to create images for the barriers, and a community paint day has been planned for May 23, to complete the project. Community members are invited to help the artists paint their designs. More information will be available in the coming weeks.
