Paving Work Scheduled For Next Month In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Paving projects are scheduled to commence in West Hartford next month.

Work should begin on May 17 on the following roads:

• Fern Street – (Mountain Road to Willowbrook Road)

• Fern Street - (Fernbrook to North Main Street)

• Mountain Road – (Glenwood Road to West Maxwell Drive

• North Main Street – (Fern Street to Linbrook Road)

The milling of the existing roadway surface is expected to take one week, followed by approximately two weeks of paving.

Signed detours will be in place to direct motorists around the work zones.

Officials said that, during construction, the roads will remain open to local traffic and school buses only, and short delays are possible.

The roads will reopen to traffic at the end of each work day but will feature raised utility structures and rough pavement.
