WEST HARTFORD, CT — The popular Children’s Museum in West Hartford is planning to move out of its home of more than 60 years and could leave town altogether, according to multiple reports.

The Hartford Courant reports that the museum’s lease with Kingswood Oxford at the Trout Brook Drive location, known for its iconic life-size sperm whale replica “Conny,” has expired. In addition to the expired lease, museum officials say the current location lacks room for growth, according to the Courant.

Museum officials are currently assessing two possible relocation sites, including the former Hartford College for Women property on Asylum Avenue in the West End of Hartford, and an undisclosed location in West Hartford, according to We-Ha.com.
