Popular Restaurant Closes Abruptly In West Hartford
The owners announced the decision on Monday.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Just a few months after launching a new menu and hiring a new chef, Grant's Restaurant and Bar announced Monday that it was closing its popular restaurant in West Hartford Center. In a statement, Billy Grant announced “with a heavy heart” that after 17 years, “my brothers and I made the difficult decision to close Grant’s Restaurant and Bar," according to the Hartford Courant.
Grant had opened 2019 with the launch of new hours, a new menu and a new team for the popular restaurant in the competitive West Hartford dining scene. Ashley Flagg had been hired as the new Chef de Cuisine and Jason Cass has been promoted as front of house manager.
However, Grant ultimately decided that the best business decision for him and his family was to close the restaurant, according to We-Ha.com.
