Remote Video Inspection Training Class On June 17 In Town Of West Hartford
The one-hour module introduces participants to how the West Hartford Building Inspection Division uses RVIs.

You are invited to view a Remote Video Inspection training class on June 17. The class is open to anyone who would like to see “behind the scenes” how West Hartford performs inspections remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. West Hartford has performed over 800 remote inspections since March and is a leader in the state.

This online training presents lessons learned and procedures developed from an early adopter of remote video inspections (RVIs) and shared ideas from a broad group of Building Officials trying to implement programs around the state.
The one-hour module introduces participants to how the West Hartford Building Inspection Division uses RVIs to meet their inspection requirements. Included will be how West Hartford determines eligible inspections based on inspection type and factors such as project complexity, construction methods, safety and weather.

The RVIs are intended to be live via audio and video, conducted at the allotted time with both the inspector and the permit holder, contractor or building owner on site; not pre-recorded. The training will be offered four times and is worth one CEU. June 11, Thursday
