The West Hartford Town Council has given the green light to purchasing a half-acre parcel of land next to the town's dog pound, according a West Hartford News report.
Council members voted to approve spending $38,615 to purchase the property, which is currently in foreclosure, at 34 Brixton Street.
West Hartford News reported that it will cost the town $25,385 to buy the land itself, with another $13,230 needed to offset the site's outstanding property taxes.
