Robert De Niro Spotted At Restaurant In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Legendary actor Robert De Niro was spotted at Max’s Oyster Bar in West Hartford on Sunday. Max’s shared a photo of the Academy Award-winning actor at the restaurant on its Facebook page. De Niro was shown with Robert Cooke, a partner and general manager of Max’s.

“The two Bobs at Max’s Oyster Bar!,” the post reads. “Robert De Niro and Robert Cooke.”

Officials at Max’s Oyster Bar say De Niro was at the restaurant, located at 964 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford, for Sunday brunch and “enjoyed it.”

It wasn’t immediately clear if De Niro was just visiting or if he was in the area for any film shoots. According to IMDb.com, he currently has two films – “Joker” and “The Irishman” — currently in post-production and another untitled project that was just announced.

Connecticut has had plenty of celebrity sightings within the past year. While many of the sightings have been in New Haven with celebrities sampling the city’s legendary pizza, Hollywood icon Harrison Ford visited O'Rourke's Diner in Middletown last March.
