Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Hartford, Tolland County
The weather service has issued a warning for northern Connecticut.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND/WINDHAM CT — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for portions of Windham, Tolland and Hartford counties until 8:15 p.m.
At 7:14 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Stafford, or 11 miles north of Mansfield, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Vernon, Johnston, Milford, Mansfield, Smithfield, Killingly, Webster, Southbridge, Burrillville, Northbridge, Ellington, Tolland, Wilbraham, Oxford, Uxbridge, Millbury, Charlton, Coventry,
Stafford and North Smithfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
"For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways," the weather service said.
