'Song of West Hartford' Video Released
The town's song has come to life on video.

WEST HARTFORD, CT —To honor the winner of last year's "Song for West Hartford" contest, the West Hartford Public Library has released a music video of Kamran Batchelder's 'My Little Town."
Last year, West Hartford Public Library hosted a contest to write and perform an original "Song for West Hartford."
Entries were judged on how well they evoked the town.

Kamran, 8, won the contest and received a $500 Grand Prize, made possible with a grant from the Thomas F. Kilfoil Bequest, West Hartford Public Library Foundation.
The music video, produced in the fall, was also made possible with a grant from the Thomas F. Kilfoil Bequest, West Hartford Public Library Foundation.

"West Hartford rocks with talent and creativity," said Interim Library Director Carol Waxman. "We are so proud of this young musician and his imaginative song."
The contest was judged by music teachers from West Hartford Public Schools. Click here to listen to the top three finishers.
The music video, which was produced by Rich Wright Productions, was filmed in Blue Back Square near Noah Webster Library and includes scrolling lyrics.
