Special Weather Statement Issued For Hartford/Tolland County
The weather service said a strong storm was moving through the area now.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Hartford and Tolland counties until 10 p.m. Tuesday.
"Scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop across the region this afternoon into early this evening. Any thunderstorm that develops will be capable of producing localized 2 to 4 inch rainfall amounts in just one hour. This will result in the potential for localized flash flooding. Do not drive through flooded roadways."
At 323 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Farmington, moving northeast at 15 mph. Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will accompany this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Hartford, New Britain, West Hartford, Bristol, Manchester, East Hartford, Newington, Windsor, Wethersfield, South Windsor, Farmington, Simsbury, Bloomfield, Avon, Plainville and East Granby.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 6/08 10:00PM. Heavy rain is expected over a short period of time. This could result in the rapid rise of rivers and streams. Roadways, poor drainage areas and low-lying areas could flood quickly too. pic.twitter.com/JMGqUDnJes
