"The Counter" to Reopen as Pearl's Grill

Burger joint will reopen as Pearl's Grill sometime around Feb. 1, according to the owner.

The owner of The Counter at Blue Back Square has pivoted and decided to close the popular burger joint and reopen as Pearl’s Grill.

Owner Brett Long said in telephone interview Friday that the restaurant plans to reopen on or near Feb. 1, with a new look.

“We’re doing things to warm up the place,” he said. “There will be new paint, floors, furniture and seating arrangements.

“One of the things people loved best is the craft beers. We’re doubling the number of craft beers on tap.”

In addition to burgers, Pearl’s Grill will also feature noodle bowls, soups and flatbreads, Long said.
