WEST HARTFORD, CT — Contractors will be working on Farmington Avenue at the crosswalk near CVS and Toy Chest on Monday, May 6 (weather permitting) to perform traffic signal repairs and concrete driveway/sidewalk work, according to officials. Work is expected to be completed by Thursday, May 9.

The contractor, NY-CONN, will be removing the damaged traffic signal cabinet, removing the damaged foundation, setting a new foundation, and installing a new cabinet, officials said. The traffic signal will be inoperable during this work. A police officer will to assist with traffic control and pedestrian crossings.

“Clover Construction will begin on Monday by demoing the old apron and removing brick pavers and prepping the area of the new concrete apron,” officials wrote in a news release. “The new concrete driveway apron will extend from the street to the building line to help differentiate the sidewalk and driveway area for pedestrians.
