West Hartford Christmas Tree Collection To Begin In January

The annual Christmas tree collection will run Monday, January 6 through Friday, January 17, 2020.

Residents in the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday refuse collection areas should have their trees at the curb by 6:00AM during the first collection week.

The collection will proceed from the Monday refuse collection area into the Tuesday refuse collection area, and so on until crews have made two complete passes through Town. Weather permitting, the collection will end on Friday, January 17, 2020.

Residents do not have to wait for their trash day to put their trees out as crews may get ahead of schedule and will collect the tree sooner.

Residents are reminded that the trees are recycled into wood chips. Therefore, please remove any plastic bags, ornaments, lights or stands from your tree before you place it at the curb.

Please help us during snowstorms by removing your tree from the side of the road.

Residents may also bring their trees to the Yard Waste & Recycling Center at 17 Brixton Center from Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Please note, there are no weekend hours at the Recycling Center from December 15th until April.
