West Hartford Conducting FastTrak Corridor Survey
West Hartford needs citizen input for a coming survey.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford officials are conducting a planning initiative — with a focus on transit oriented development — that will review the zoning ordinances around the municipality's two CTfastrak stations.
Officials are soliciting citizen input via a short survey with a May 21 deadline.
The effort is a continuation of past planning studies and seeks to further many of the goals and strategies outlined in the recently adopted Plan of Conservation and Development, officials said.

The initiative seeks to define the possibilities of implementing a "transit-oriented development supportive zoning ordinance" regarding areas within a quarter-mile of the Elmwood and Flatbush Avenue stations.
The survey is designed to gather data on usage habits, perceptions of the existing area and "supportive amenities" and preferences toward "future opportunities" for the areas.
