West Hartford Shooting Incident Leaves 1 Wounded
A section of West Hartford near a park was the site of a police investigation Wednesday morning.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford police had an area near a park closed for part of Wednesday morning for what they termed an "shooting investigation."
The area blocked off was on Fern Street between Cobbs Road and Fernridge Road.
Police said that, at approximately 1:18 a.m., they began looking into a shooting in the area near North Main Street and Fern Street.

The victim sustained what police described as non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, police said.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and added there is no risk to the general public. The road was re-opened at 9:37 a.m., police said.
