West Hartford Getting Creative With Vehicle Assessment Appeals

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford officials are getting creative this year when it comes to motor vehicle assessment appeals.

The appeals for the Oct, 1, 2019 Grand List are slated to be heard on Sept. 10 and 12.

The West Hartford Board of Assessment Appeals will be setting up hearings outside, on the patio, at the front entrance of West Hartford Town Hall 50 South Main St.

The hours are:

• Sept. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m.
• Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon.

No appointments are necessary and a face mask will be required.

Residents need to bring a completed application, located on the assessment web page at under "Board of Assessment Appeals."

The motor vehicle or vehicles for which the appeals are filed must be present at the time of the appeal hearing.
