Last week, we asked you when this store opened. The Maxwell Drug store opened in 1946 on Farmington Avenue, according to the Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society. The Baptist Church and town office buildings had once been located on this busy corner.
Several of you said 1948, and that’s plenty close for me.
