West Hartford History: When Was This Area Developed?

Test your knowledge of West Hartford history with this photo from the archives of the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society.

Last week, we showed a picture of the Center School, which opened in 1895 according to the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society. It was shared by the elementary and high school students until 1910 when the high school took over the entire building. Known as the Rutherford building, it was eventually taken down in the 1970’s, according to Sheila Daley of the Historical Society.

So what about this week? When was this area developed?
