WEST HARTFORD, CT — Several questions from the public were posted in the chat box during the West Hartford Police Department’s last Facebook Live Community Conversation session.

A: National use of force policy does not exist. However, WHPD’s policies are consistent with Connecticut's Compliance to Law Enforcement Standards and Practices; U.S. Supreme Court cases; and industry best practices.

Q: What is the timeline for remaking the composition of the Citizen’s Review Board?

A: It is our intention to present a recommendation during the September 2020 Public Safety Meeting.
