West Hartford Resident To Host 4th Annual 5K For Charity: Report

The event is an alternative to the Manchester Road Race and will raise money for charity.

Nicole Moleti, a West Hartford resident, is set to host another unofficial Thanksgiving Day five-mile run as a charity benefit, according to a report by the Hartford Courant.

The race was started four years ago by Moleti and her cousin after making it to Manchester’s popular Road Race became too difficult, according to a report by the Hartford Courant, who added that the race started with only 20 participants. Moleti is expecting about 50 runners this year.

This 5K, which starts at her Albany Avenue house, helps raise money charity.

This year’s proceeds will go towards the Michael Christopher Moreau Family Fund, the step-father of her cousin who went through a period of time facing breast cancer, according to the Hartford Courant.

The cancer spread throughout his body, but since a surgery in the spring, it has stopped spreading.
