Uberdog is about to celebrate its 13th year in West Hartford, owner Dan O'Brien said.
"We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the amazing dog owners of WeHa," O'Brien said. "In the last two years, we moved to a larger and more updated space right down the street from our original location. It allows us more indoor and outdoor play areas, more luxurious overnight accommodations and a grooming salon."

Uberdog has also persevered in challenging times.
"We've definitely had our share of adventures over the last 13 years, but none as wild as surviving a pandemic," O'Brien said. "We continue to be grateful for all of the new puppies people have welcomed into their homes during COVID and their owners who love a tired and happy dog.
"One of my favorite things to hear from customers is when they turn down our street to drop their dogs off, their dog starts doing a happy dance in the back seat because they know they're getting dropped off for a day of fun.”
Here's what some nominators had to day:
- "The nicest people. Most caring about my pets and clean. Always easy to work with, Covid safe. I have been going there for 13 years and don.t plan to stop." — Glenn Brown
- "Awesome dog daycare. Caring staff. Clean and very well run. Curbside drop off and pick up. Staff is always friendly and really care about the dogs." — Nancy Mothersele
- "Best doggie daycare around." — Linda Suski
