New Details, Timeline On Saturday's Accumulating Snow In CT

The National Weather Service has released new details concerning expected snow accumulation estimates for Saturday.

CONNECTICUT — It looks like if you have somewhere to be on Saturday, you'll want to be home before 4 p.m. as that is when heavy snow is expected for Connecticut. Saturday's accumulating snow is expected to come fast and furiously but will be long gone by Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service is predicting two to four inches of snow at the immediate coast on Saturday. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. Sunday.

Inland sections of southern Connecticut are expected to receive three to five inches of snow and the winter weather advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. Sunday.

In Hartford, Tolland and Windham county, the weather service is predicting three to five inches of snow. The winter weather advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. Saturday until 4 a.m. Sunday.

"The bulk of the snowfall is expected to occur during Saturday mid afternoon and Saturday evening. Snow may mix with or change to rain before ending Saturday night," the weather service says.
