Winter Weather Advisory Continues For Hartford, Tolland County

The National Weather Service has issued an updated Winter Weather Advisory for Hartford, Tolland and Windham county. The advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

"Rain mixed with sleet and freezing rain at times. Ice accumulations of a trace to a tenth of an inch.

"IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Greatest impacts will be at elevations above 500 ft."

Rain before 1pm, then rain and sleet. High near 35. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.

Tonight
Rain and sleet likely, becoming all rain after 11pm. Cloudy, with a low around 34. Northeast wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.

Tuesday
A chance of rain, mainly before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
