Sale Price Disclosed For Acorn Technology Campus In West Haven

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. recently purchased the 117-acre property with plans to build a distribution facility.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. has purchased the 117-acre Acorn Technology Campus, located at 600 Derby Avenue in West Haven, for $8 million. Michael Richetelli, president and designated broker of Colonial Properties, Inc., announced the completion of the transaction in a press release.

“We are very pleased to have facilitated this landmark sale that will ultimately result in a significant economic benefit to the City of West Haven, as well as the region, creating many new jobs and tax revenue,” Richetelli said in the release.

Fred A. Messore, senior vice president at Colonial Properties, Inc., represented the seller, Acorn Technology Campus, LLC, in the sale of the land, which is made up of 22 individual parcels. Messore said this is believed to be the largest assemblage of land ever sold in New Haven County, according to the release.

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp., represented by Sean Duffy and Jay Hruska of Cushman & Wakefield, was the buyer.

According to Vincent P. Petrini, Yale’s Senior Vice President for Public Affairs, “the goal is to build a central warehouse and distribution facility for medical supplies that can serve the entire health care system.”
