1 Dead, 2 Injured, In Easton Crash
The collision and its aftermath shut down Route 59 for over 4 hours Tuesday.

EASTON, CT — One person was killed and two seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision late Tuesday afternoon, according to Easton police.
The crash occurred on Route 59 between Maple and Judd roads, police said.
First responders found someone giving CPR to one of the motorists, who was unresponsive. Medics and fire crews took over the efforts, before the victim was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police said that fire crews needed to extricate the two other motorists from their vehicles before they were taken to St. Vincent's with serious injuries.
The crash, which closed Route 59 from just after 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., is under investigation.
