Black Bears Spotted In Redding And Easton: Reports

EASTON, CT — Black bears were spotted by residents on Mile Common and Black Rock Road in Easton last week and over the weekend, in addition to Beauiles Lane in Redding, reports the Easton Courier and Redding Pilot.

Bear sightings typically rise throughout the area this time of year, according to the publications, because bears are preparing for hibernation in the fall.

If you see a black bear, report it to the local police department or to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
