Car Strikes Stone Wall, Air Bag Deploys, Driver Keeps Driving
A car breaks down shortly after an accident in Redding.

A car driving on Black Rock Turnpike in Redding on August 2 sideswiped a stone wall, causing the airbag to deploy, but the driver kept going until the vehicle broke down on Pocahontas Road according to .
Police said that the driver, Harrison Smith, 20, of Churchill Road in Redding, stated he had been looking down at the dashboard and did not know what he had hit when the accident occurred. The car sustained damage to the left front of the vehicle.
Police issued Harrison an infraction for distracted driving and a verbal warning for failure to drive in the appropriate lane.
