Attention Commuters: Closures Scheduled for I-84 Access Ramps
The closures and detours are necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities, according to the DOT.
NEWTOWN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced the closure of key commuter ramps accessing Interstate 84 through June 21.
The closures and detours are necessary to facilitate construction/safety improvement activities.
The following I-84 access ramps have these scheduled closures:

- Exit 9 westbound will be closed for two separate nights, June 18-19, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
- Exit 9 eastbound will be closed for one night on June 20, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
- Exit 10 westbound will be closed for one night on June 17, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
- Exit 10 eastbound will be closed for one night on June 21, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
