Court Orders Redding Man to Turn Over 15 Guns

On April 4, a 75-year-old Redding man was forced to turn over his weapons and his pistol permit, per court order.

Police Chief Douglas Fuchs said the case related to a domestic incident that occurred in March which ultimately resulted in the man being arrested for third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

“I believe we have 15 firearms from him,” Fuchs said.

Kamilah Gayle, 28, of Danbury was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding following a motor vehicle stop on Black Rock Turnpike on April 1 at 8:25 a.m.

Upon investigation, police determined Brookfield Police had a warrant out for her arrest. She was turned over to their custody.

Luis Montesdeoca, 55, of Danbury was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without insurance following a motor vehicle stop on Redding Road on April 6 at 8:13 a.m.
