Easton Man Accused Of Sexual Assault, Risk Of Injury To Minor

A search of the suspect's home revealed twelve firearms and a large amount of ammunition, according to police.

EASTON, CT — Police have charged a man with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of illegal sexual contact, and risk of injury to a minor, following a weeks-long investigation.

On July 1, the Easton Police Department received a call from Yale-New Haven Hospital reporting they had two victims who had been admitted to the hospital to be seen for signs of sexual abuse and trauma.

Police interviewed the victims on Thursday, with the assistance of The Family Justice Center in Bridgeport. Police say they obtained a search warrant and an arrest warrant based upon the information obtained from these interviews.

On Friday, police executed the warrants, arresting Robert McGuire, 40, of Adams Road in Easton.

According to the police report, a search of the home was conducted, and a "large amount of evidence was recovered along with twelve firearms and a large amount of ammunition."

McGuire was held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 13.

The Easton PD was assisted in their investigation by law enforcement from Darien, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
