Easton Man Pleads Guilty To Child Pornography Production

According to court documents, the man repeatedly sexually abused a minor victim and took photographs and videos of the sexual assaults.

EASTON, CT — An Easton man pleaded guilty to production of child pornography.

Robert McGuire, 41, made his plea in federal court Tuesday.

According to court documents and statements made in court, between February 2019 and June 2020, McGuire repeatedly sexually abused a minor victim and took photographs and videos of the sexual assaults.

McGuire has been detained since his arrest by the Easton Police Department on related state charges on July 10, 2020, according to a news release from the Justice Department. The case had been investigated by the Easton PD alongside the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The judge scheduled sentencing for Oct. 14, 2021, at which time McGuire faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of 15 years and a maximum term of 30 years.
