Raul Ortiz, 55, of Stratford was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane following a motor vehicle stop on Route 59 on Dec. 14 at 11:24 p.m.
According to police, the department received a report of an erratic driver. Upon locating the driver, officers stopped him. They smelled alcohol on Ortiz's breath, and he subsequently failed field sobriety tests.
Ortiz was released on $40 bond and given a Jan. 7 court date.
