Someone forced open a sliding window of a house on Wells Hill Road in Easton at around 12:40 p.m. on Friday, setting off the alarm.
Police responding to the alarm found the attempted point of entry and a key-holder let officers into the home, where nothing appeared to be out of place, according to the report.
Police are investigating the attempted break-in.
