Expect Delays: Route 136 Closure Scheduled This Week
The road is being closed for the removal of large trees in danger of falling during a storm.
EASTON, CT — Beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27, Route 136 will be closed to all traffic from Sturges Highway to Redding Road as crews will be removing three large trees that are a danger to fall in a storm.
Easton Police and detour signs will be on the scene to facilitate traffic and ensure safety, the PD wrote on Facebook.
Catamount Road will be the alternate route. Emergency services have been notified and are able to respond accordingly, the post from police said.
