"Today is the one year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. As we reflect on this past year rife with acts of discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism, I join my fellow leaders and state unequivocally that Weston and its residents will not tolerate such acts. We will work to move forward with unity.
The list of heartbreaking and hateful crimes are too numerous to list. Our communities: Black, Asian & Pacific Islander, Jewish, Trans and others deserve to live in an environment that fosters respect regardless of their race, creed, or ethnic background. My hope is that we all embrace our neighbors during this difficult period.
