Man Arrested for DUI After 'Brief Struggle' With Police

Police said the man blew a BAC of at least three times the legal limit.

A man speeding on Rte 53 was arrested for possession of cocaine, speeding, and DUI with a BAC of three times the legal limit, according to Redding Police Chief Douglas Fuchs.

Fuchs said that Steven Wordski, 26, of Norwalk, had been pulled over for speeding at around 1 a.m this past Saturday and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol upon inspection. Police asked Wordski to exit the vehicle but he refused.

“He was not cooperative with police,” said Fuchs.

This lead to a “brief struggle” which ended with the accused taken into custody, Fuchs said.

Wordski was found to be in a small amount of cocaine, police said. When police administered a BAC test, he was found to be “over three times the legal limit,” said Fuchs.
