Mother's Day Premium Plant Sale Planned by Easton Mom

Noreen Forde Organizes Event to Help Ovarian Cancer Survivors through Clearity Foundation

Easton resident Noreen Forde is organizing a Mother's Day Plant Sale in Fairfield as a way of giving back to Clearity Foundation. Last year she held a similar event and raised over $8,000. Proceeds help ovarian cancer patients, survivors and caregivers receive scientific information, molecular profiling, clinical trials matching and counseling from Clearity, all free of charge.

"Ovarian cancer is a difficult diagnosis, so I want to help other women who are in a similar situation as me,"stated Noreen Forde. "Flowers are such a wonderful gift on Mother's Day, my lads always get me some, so I thought this would be a nice way for people to help," Noreen added.

Premium Hanging Plants will be sold featuring Ivy Geranium or Petunia Trailing. They are $30 each or two for $50. Noreen teamed up with Vaiuso Farms Inc. of Branford to get the best pplants possible. Patrick Clyne, owner of The Castle on Post Restaurant & Pub, is hosting the event at his facility at 222 Post Road, Fairfield. His parking lot allows for easy pick-up of flowers.
