UPDATE: About 1,500 Still Without Power In 3-Towns Area

WESTON/REDDING/EASTON, CT — In Weston, 1,164 (30 percent) Eversource customers are without power, the utility reported. In Redding, the total number of outages at 8 p.m. on Monday was 323 (8 percent). United Illuminating reported that just 15 (1 percent) of their customers in Easton were still in the dark Monday night.

Eversource estimates its customers in Redding will see their power fully restored by Monday, August 10, 11:59 p.m. In Weston, restoration is being pledged by Tuesday, August 11, 11:59 p.m. If you're a UI customer you can click here to view a map showing when your power will be restored.

Outages easily eclipsed those of Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and came close to rivaling those of the October snowstorm and Hurricane Irene in 2011.
