Obituary: Rosanne C. Oakley, Of Weston

Rosanne was a long time resident of Redding where she enjoyed being involved with the League of Women Voters, PTA and the Redding Grange

WESTON, CT — Rosanne C. Oakley, of Summerville, South Carolina, beloved, mother, grandmother and cousin, passed away peacefully on Sept. 2, 2020.

Rosanne was born on June 22, 1934 in New York to the late Domenica (Minnie) Guidera and Anthony Castro. Rosanne graduated from Staples High School in Weston Connecticut, she went on to study business in Fairfax Virginia, Rosanne was a long time resident of Redding where she enjoyed being involved with the League of Women Voters, PTA and the Redding Grange. Rosanne was always passionate about pets, she especially loved horses and dogs. Her other interests were fashion, music, astrology and bridge. The time she spent with family, having a meal, playing board games brought her laughter and joy.

Rosanne is survived by her daughter, Amy Clarkson Whitman (Mitchell Whitman) of Bluffton, South Carolina, her grandson, Clayton Clarkson (Shelbey Bunker Clarkson) of Aiken, South Carolina and many cousins.

The family will be holding a service at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Weston, on Sept. 25, 2020
